In this blog post, we'll take a simple enamel pan, often overlooked in its conventional role, and elevate it to an entirely new level. With IOD transfers, we're set to create a beautiful wall decor piece that doubles as a functional hanging shelf.

In this blog, I will show you step-by-step How To Use IOD Transfers To Thrift Flip An Enamel Pan Into Wall Decor.

IOD has beautiful transfers in their collection!

For this project, I used the IOD Transfer Set called Seed Catalogue. The transfer comes with (8) 8 x 12 sheets and (1) transfer tool.

First, I chose the enamel pan that I wanted to use for this project.

Next, I settled on using the Maule’s pea pod transfer because it matched well with my home decor style.

To get started, peel off the protective backing from the transfer sheet.

Gently place the design onto the surface in the desired position.

Take your time to make sure it's properly aligned.

IOD TRANSFER TIP: Ensure the surface you're applying the transfer to is clean, smooth, and dry. Remove any dirt, dust, or previous finishes that might interfere with the transfer's adhesion.

Then, use your transfer tool to rub the transfer into the pan.

I recommend starting from one corner and work your way across, ensuring the entire design adheres smoothly and completely. This step transfers the design from the sheet to the enamel pan surface.

I chose this specific pan due to its unique feature of having two holes at the top.

The holes will serve as both an aesthetically pleasing element and allow this project to become a functional hanging shelf.

As you can see in the image below, I put my transfer at the top because I wanted to use the bottom part as a shelf.

After transferring, carefully peel off the clear backing sheet.

I like to do a combination of pulling on the plastic backing sheet and rubbing with the transfer tool to ensure that the entire image transfers.

How cute is that?

This project is so simple and easy - anyone can do it!

Remember to take your time and work carefully during each step to achieve the best results. IOD transfers can truly elevate the look of your DIY projects and bring a unique and artistic touch to your home decor.
