I recently thrifted this very large pine cone piece that will go perfectly with my fall decor!

Do you have any pieces in your home that could use a fresh coat of paint? Today, I am going to show you how to thrift-flip this piece using Fusion Paint and Antique Glaze. You are going to be shocked when you see the finished product!

Follow along to learn How To Paint A Pine Cone Statue with Fusion Paint.

Below is a list of the items you will need to recreate this project:

First, you will want to find the item that you are going to be painting.

I am going to use this beautiful Fusion Mineral Paint color called Champlain.

You can find this exact color on my website here: https://www.juliesdesignsandsigns.com/fusion-paint

Using my STAALMEESTER Pointed Sash Brush I painted one full coat on the entire piece.

The coverage when using Fusion Paint is amazing!

One coat is all I needed for this project.

However, based on the look you are going for, you can decide if you need to paint additional coats.

Next, you are going to want to open up your Antiquing Glaze and a dry paper towel.

In the photo below, you can see how I dip the antiquing brush and then offload it onto the dry paper towel because I want a very dry brush.

The antiquing glaze does have a built-in sealer so if you feel like you have used too much you can use a baby wipe or a wet paper towel to wipe some off.

You will want to brush strokes of the antiquing glaze over the edges of the pine cone until it has the look that you want.

Now you will let it dry for 24 hours before it is ready to be styled in your home!

Painting this pine cone piece with Fusion Paint has been a great reminder to not overlook crazy-colored items at thrift stores. If the piece is a shape that you like, go ahead and pick it up. You know what I say, “Paint fixes everything!”
