As the holiday season approaches, there's a sense of magic in the air that sparks creativity and the desire to infuse our homes with festive charm. What better way to celebrate Christmas than by giving a new life to forgotten objects and turning them into unique Christmas decorations?

Instead of being thrown away, old paint cans can be upcycled into stunning pieces of Christmas décor that add a touch of elegance and whimsy to your festive home.

There are so many different projects you can create with old paint cans!

For this project, I did not clean out the inside of the can. All you need to do is make sure the paint has dried.

In the photo below, you will see that I am using IOD Clay Mould Christmas trees. However, the IOD Holiday moulds are limited release and no longer available. :(

Because of this, I sell resin castings on my website!

You will want to order the 8 Trees Resin Casting from juliesdesignsandsigns.com for this project.

First, you will want to microwave your resin trees for 30 seconds so that they bend. This will make them easier to work with.

To attach the resin Christmas trees to the paint can, I applied glue to the back of the tree and place them along the bottom of the paint can.

I recommend using gorilla glue with the resin castings.

Next, using a STAALMEESTER Pointed Sash Brush and Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Manor Green, I paint the entire paint can.

You will want to make sure the paint is completely dry before moving on to the next step.

Next, I paint a coat of Dixie Belle White Wax over the entire paint can.

Then, using a paper towel, I lightly wipe off the excess wax.

This technique gives the trees a nearly snow-capped appearance on their branches.

Now it is your turn to embrace the joy of crafting and the satisfaction of sustainability as you upcycle paint cans into your own holiday home decor!
