I thrifted this old clipboard from the Goodwill! Since it had water stains on it I knew that I wanted to paint the board.
I decided to paint the clipboard a beautiful light pink color.
I used Fusion All In One Paint in the color Rose Water because it has an elegant vintage feel to it.
I used a STAALMASTER Fitch Angled Brush so that I could easily paint around the clip.
I applied 2 coats of paint onto the board.
Then, I used sandpaper to lightly distress the board because I did want some of the edges to show.
Once the paint was dry, I chose my IOD Transfer!
I used a transfer from the Lover of Flowers collection.
The rose water color blended perfectly with the flowers on this transfer.
First, I removed the white backing page.
Next, I used the transfer tool to press the transfer into the board.
Then, I lifted the clear sheet slowly to ensure the image had transferred to the board.
The color transformation on this clipboard turned out absolutely perfect!
I chose this transfer because the typography. How beautiful is that?
The clipboard was giving shabby chic vibes so I grabbed vintage lace scraps from my stash.
I pulled the pieces through the center of the clip and tied the pieces up.
