My favorite thing about DIY is that you can turn any ordinary item into an extraordinary home decor piece, That is exactly what we did with todays project. I used IOD Stamps to create a personalized throw pillow that can be set on our sofa year round. I created it to be neutral so that it matches my home aesthetic but also so that when we can keep it on the couch as we swap our pillow covers for the holiday season!

In this blog, I will show you How To Personalize A Throw Pillow With IOD Stamps!

Below is a list of the items you will need to recreate this project:

For this project, I started with a blank throw pillow cover. You can thrift pillows or pillow covers. Or you can affordably purchase blank pillow covers on Amazon.

To get started, I had to choose my stamp.

I used two of my favorites - the IOD Typesetting stamp and the IOD Alphabellies stamp!

Using a thin mount, I arranged the stamps that I wanted so that they were evenly placed.

I decided to write our last name and the number 6 with the typesetting stamp and then I added the floral detailing with the alphabellies stamp,

Then, I applied Grey IOD Ink to an empty ink pad and inked up the entire stamp.

Once the entire stamp had ink on it - I flipped the stamp over and evenly laid it onto the pillow case.

To ensure the stamp evenly transfers - I used my IOD brayer. All you have to do is lightly press the brayer over the stamp.

Lastly, I lifted up the thin mount and this beautiful impression was left! How pretty is that?

I love the vintage look and feel when you stamp a surface.

No two pieces are alike - all of the imperfections make it even more perfect!
