These kissing bunnies are one of the most adorable things I have seen in awhile!

Yes, the color was all wrong but I knew exactly how I could DIY them as soon as I saw them in Goodwill.

This piece looked brand new and high end by the time I was done. If you like neutral tones in your home - you will LOVE this technique!

In this blog, I will show you How To Create A Faux Cement Look!

Below is a list of the items you will need to recreate this project:

When I saw these two kissing bunnies in the store, I knew right away that I wanted to use a faux cement painting technique.

To achieve this DIY look, I used Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Little Lamb and a STAALMEESTER Point Sash Brush.

I love using the pointed sash brush because the point allows the brush to get into small spaces and it has great coverage.

First, I applied 1 coat of Little Lamb paint to the entire piece.

This is a great medium gray color!

Next, I used both Dixie Belle White Wax and Black Wax to achieve the faux cement look.

Once the gray paint was dry, I covered the entire piece with Dixie Belle White Wax.

I used a STAALMEESTER Round Wax Brush.

Next, I came in with the Dixie Belle Black Wax.

For this part, I used a smaller Artist Round Brush.

I applied the black wax to any spot that would have a shadow. I also applied wax to the bottom so that the item looked a little more weathered.

Then I used a paper towel to wipe off the excess wax. You will want to continue applying wax, blending it, then wiping it off until you achieve the look you want!

The last step that I did was to take a dry brush and use it to blend the black wax into the white wax a little bit more.

& that’s it! How easy is that?

I styled these faux cement kissing bunnies on a shelf in our dining room. So cute!
