Have you ever stumbled upon hidden gems in the unlikeliest of places?

I recently found these charming small measuring cups at Goodwill, and my creative instincts kicked into high gear.

I instantly envisioned a unique DIY project so I couldn't resist bringing them home.

In this blog, I will show you How To Upcycle Old Metal Measuring Cups Into Beautiful Home Decor Accent Pieces!

Below is a list of the items you will need to recreate this project:

I used Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in the color Cotton and a STAALMEESTER Pointed Sash Brush to apply 1 layer of paint to this silver measuring cup.

This color is a nice pretty bright white!

Next, I used sandpaper to distress the paint on the numbers and measuring marks so that they stood out.

Then, I looked through my craft stash to see what I had on hand to accessorize this mini meausuring cup.

I decided to use a small doily and a succulent. How cute is this?

Think of doilies as miniature blankets that add a layer of charm to your home decor. They are also ideal for beautifully staging products in photographs!

Next, I moved on to these two small cups.

I used a small handful of moss to create little tiny nests inside the cups.

Using a hot glue gun, I applied glue to the inside of the mini measuring cup.

Then, I pressed the moss on top of the glue.

Lastly, I wanted to add eggs to my mini nests. I used IOD Air Dry Clay to achieve this look!

Using my hands, I pulled apart a small amount of clay and rolled it into egg shaped balls using my fingers.

I grabbed my hot glue gun and applied glue to the moss.

Then, I set the clay egg right on top of the glue and let them dry.

I wanted to hang these cute mini bird nest cups so I tied a piece of lace to the handle.

They turned out adorable!

I decided to stage these next to a wicker tray that I already had in my home. This project is such a good spring DIY project!
