The first thing I decided to do was grunge up these cute leather baby shoes.

I am using Dixie Belle Grunge Gray Wax. I love how this wax looks on leather fabric, especially, how it looks in the threading.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, go watch the video where I did this technique to white ice skates — they turned out SO good.

Using a Dixie Belle French Tip Brush, I apply the wax all over the leather of the shoes.

Next, I dabbed a paper towel onto the leather of the shoe to wipe off the excess wax.

Here you can see on the left shoe how it beautifully transforms the leather and the stitching.

You know how at Christmas time I say, “everything with a hole in it gets a Christmas tree!”

Well…my spring version of that is “everything with a hole in it gets a bird nest!”

I stuffed the shoe with scrap fabric, and then I used hot glue to secure a handful of moss on top, which formed a cozy nest.

Then, I used IOD air dry clay to create little mini bird eggs.

To create the eggs, tear off a small amount of clay and roll the clay between your fingers until it forms a round egg shape.

Next, I applied hot glue to each egg and arranged them into the nest.

For the second shoe, I decided to style it with some greenery.

This is the Splendid Sedum Bush that is available on my website. I love the vintage look of this and it pairs perfectly with this leather shoe!

I added a little bit of moss and laid it inside the shoe as a base layer.

Then, I clipped off a few sprigs of the splendid sedum bush to add into the shoe.

I styled these shoes in so many different ways in my house. I loved how they looked sitting amongst other items on my shelf.

Then, I thought…let’s tie the laces together so that I could hang the shoes up.

Which ended up looking adorable on my dining room hutch!

I feel like none of y’all will ever pass up a leather baby shoe again.

Look at how cute these turned out!
